Metabolic health describes how well your body can process food and energy

To be metabolically healthy, your body must be able to respond to food in a way that is beneficial to your health.

Metabolic health affects your risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart attack and stroke

  • Unhealthy waist circumference

    The reference points for a healthy waist circumference are less than 90cm for men and 80cm for women.

  • High blood sugar

    To have normal blood sugar levels your fasting glucose must be less than 100mg/dL and your HbA1c less than 5.7%.

  • High blood pressure

    To have normal blood pressure your systolic should be less than 130 mmHg and diastolic less than 80 mmHg.

  • High level of Triglyceride in your blood

    Triglyceride is the most common type of fat in your body. The healthy reference level is less than 150 mg/dL.

  • Low "good" and high "bad" cholesterols

    "Good" (HDL) and "bad" (LDL) cholesterol values. HDL should be more than 50 mg/dL for women and 40 mg/dL for men. LDL should be less than 100 mg/dL.
